Another road accident in Malda caused five injuries.
By a staff reporter , Malda 1st June'22 , another road accident took place at Rathbari crossing in Malda . It was around 2 pm when a fully loaded lorry collided with a passenger car. The car smashed badly and the five passengers of that car including the car driver were seriously injured. The injured passengers were immediately sent to Malda Medical College and Hospital by the local people with the help of traffic police . Of those injured passengers a woman and her child were released soon after the first - aid treatment. But the driver and other passengers are still in danger.
After that incident the traffic was disrupted badly. But the police arrived on that scene and they made their serious efforts to make the traffic normal. However, the lorry driver was arrested on spot . Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident happened when the lorry lost its control . The people demanded that there should be a more active and effective traffic system on that kind of busy road. The traffic police personnel assured the people on that concerned matter.
